Hi all, I've been a long-time reader of MyDD and I've been blogging since the days when Open Diary ruled. I've decided that it's a lot more fun to be in an actual conversation rather than just talking to myself, and with that, I've started my own MyDD diary.
I currently live in D.C. and I'm a grad student studying media and politics.
Before, I lived in Philadelphia, where I started the Drexel Dems and was a member of Philly4Dean/Philly For Change.
Judging by House Majority Leader John Boehner's comments on the Democrats yesterday,
"I wonder if they're more interested in protecting the terrorists than protecting the American people,"
it's become quite clear the the Republicans will really stop at nothing to once again play the fear factor.
We do the same response each time. We say how outraged we are. We call for condemnation. We know we're better than that -- to stoop that low. Besides, we think to ourselves, it's totally ludicrous. We think that nobody would buy that, so why even answer to it? And we're doing the same thing again.
This doesn't work, though. Never has.
